BC Artistic Swimming extends its sincere thanks to Tanya Magee as she concludes more than ten years with the organization and the artistic swimming community in British Columbia.
Since joining BCAS in 2015, Tanya has played a central role in supporting the growth and development of the sport across the province. As Sport Development Manager, she provided leadership across athlete development, coach and official pathways, club support, provincial competitions, and key programs including AquaGO! and the BC Summer Games.
Throughout her tenure, Tanya helped guide the organization through significant growth and change while supporting athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and clubs across the province. During the 2025–2026 season, she led BCAS through its first full provincial competition season under her portfolio, oversaw the implementation of a new scoring system, and supported one of the earliest provincial rollouts of the national RAMP Registration System. She also successfully secured several Hosting Grants to support the provincial events calendar.
“Tanya has been a cornerstone of BC Artistic Swimming for more than a decade, and her contributions to the sport — at every level of development — are immeasurable,” said Patrik Zimmermann, Executive Director, BC Artistic Swimming. “She brought professionalism, creativity, and genuine care to everything she touched, and our members have benefited enormously from her work. On behalf of the entire BCAS community, I want to thank Tanya for her extraordinary dedication and for the legacy she leaves behind. We wish her every success in the chapter ahead.”
BCAS extends its sincere appreciation to Tanya for her years of leadership, dedication, and care for the artistic swimming community in British Columbia, and wishes her all the best moving forward.
