BC Artistic Swimming is pleased to announce that Rebecca Tamil Selven has joined BC Artistic Swimming as our new Executive Director. Rebecca brings a wealth of experience and leadership in sports development and recreation, and we are thrilled to have her lead our organization into its next chapter.

Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology in Physical Education and Health from the University of British Columbia. She comes to us with extensive experience from her recent role as Director of Sport at Ringette BC, where she successfully led the development, oversight, and evaluation of athlete, coach, and official pathways through strategic program design and implementation. Her strong background in change management, provincial program oversight, and a collaborative approach to enhancing participation across the province will be invaluable to our organization.

Her journey with Ringette BC began as early as 2012 and in December 2017 as Technical Director. She eventually progressed to Program Director, and most recently, Director of Sport. Rebecca has played a crucial role in developing technical programs, managing provincial events, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services for members. Additionally, she brings expertise in coach development, sport policy, and inclusive programming, which align closely with BC Artistic Swimming's mission.

With a passion for sport, a focus on long-term athlete development, and a commitment to fostering inclusive environments, we are confident that Rebecca will be a dynamic leader for BC Artistic Swimming.  Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Rebecca as she steps into her new role.
